Our heavy-duty 16 oz acrylic fabric proves much more durable than 11 and 13 oz acrylic kilts on the market. Acrylic fibers are woven to mimic the look and texture of traditional wool. Our quality kilts are custom made using:

6 to 8 yards of 16 oz acrylic
Deep pleats
Pleated to stripe or sett
Three belt loops
Three sturdy genuine leather straps (2nd picture)
Heavy-duty, pewter buckles (2nd picture)
Hand-stitched, cotton, dye-free, full inner sweat panel (3rd picture)
Invisible, hand-stitched front facing
2-3" hem for weighted movement, cleaner edges and future alterations

I was expecting the kilt to be traditional selvage at the bottom, i.e. not hemmed. Perhaps that was mentioned in the website and I just missed it ( not sure). It was easy to change that by taking the kilt to my tailor. In any case, I am otherwise delighted with the kilt and proud to finally have my Clan Bell kilt :0>
