A Fly Plaid is traditionally worn as the groom's accessory with the Prince Charlie Jacket or in other formal occasions. This item comes in a 52" square and matches the fabric and tartan of the kilt.
The Fly Plaid is usually worn pulled through the left epaulet of a traditional formal jacket on one corner and secured at the shoulder with pins. A brooch is then pinned through the fabric of the plaid only, and the rest of the plaid hangs down the back. Our Fly plaids are constructed with:
- 16 oz acrylic in your choice of 9 rental tartans
- Purled around the edges of the plaid
- ≈52" wide x 52" long
- Choose from 9 rental tartans
We do keep a good stock of these tartans available for immediate shipment; however, please allow sufficient time for you to receive your rental item (one to three weeks). Need it sooner? Give us a call and we’ll be happy to expedite shipping for your event.
*Limited rental tartans are only available with at least 4 weeks advance notice from event date. If you'd like to rent this tartan sooner, please either call or email our office with your measurements so we can check our inventory.
