I bought four neckties to go with all of my kilts both official and ones based on plaid pleated skirts that perfectly match a Scottish tartan. I wanted to be able to wear all of them more formally. I have not been disappointed, They are great. A special thanks to Kathy (Roberts?) and her staff for creating the MacAlister Dress Modern tie I needed which did not exist.

I now have four neckties that match the tartan of four of my kilts, an Allison Modern and MacAlister Dress Modern official kilts and a Stewart Royal Modern and a Stewart Black Modern (and a similar Stewart Black Ancient) in a plaid pleated miniskirt identical to the Stewart tartans. So I am very pleased with the neckties. It allows me a formal appearance with four or five choices of kilt, all of which can be matched with my Prince Charlie vest and jacket.
