Goose for True Tune Practice Chanters

Do you want the more realistic feel and experience of blowing into a blow pipe while regulating your arm squeezing and controlling pressure and playing the chanter with your arms extended to the same place as on the bagpipes? For bagpipers, one of the most important skills is the ability to maintain constant pressure in the bag. You can begin developing this skill here on the goose, and the ATL Goose is what you need! The Goose has the same shape and size as the regular bagpipe bag without the more difficult aspects of full bagpipes.  For instance, collectively, the 4 reeds on a regular bagpipe require about 5 times as much air as the practice chanter reed in the goose, and about 3 times as much pressure. This True Tune Goose chanter stock is bored to fit with the top of the True Tune Practice Chanters. This goose can be used with other practice chanter brands (see the Note below), but it is almost 100% certain that the other brand will require re-hemping (more or less) for an airtight fit with the chanter stock of the goose and so the off brand chanter will no longer fit the chanter top.  Actually, even ordering True Tune chanters months apart makes perfect interchangeability a little dicey.  For that reason, it is best to order the goose at the same time as you order the chanter so that the exact same drill bit  is used for both, and so the two can be tested and proven to fit interchangably, before shipping these to you. As an option, when you order your goose you can also order a matching True Tune chanter top so that you can interchange your existing chanter between the True Tune goose and the True Tune chanter top.

Note: If you are using another brand of chanter, please keep in mind the the inner-diameter of the goose chanter stock (and also the True Tune chanter top) is about 3/4", so if the outer diameter of the column that has your chanter reed seat exceeds 3/4", then the True Tune chanter top cannot accomodate your chanter.
